Created for the client as a new personal and family coat of arms, this achievement draws its principal heraldic inspiration from the historical arms of the Mariș family of Cuhea, from which the client's paternal lineage descends. The new design retains the characteristic arrangement of the ancestral arms, together with the golden lions and the lion appearing in the crest, while reinterpreting these elements within a new armorial composition.

The shield is divided per pale, with the sinister half further divided per fess, creating three fields. In the first field, the original Árpádian stripes of the Mariș arms are reinterpreted as four silver wavy bars on blue, evoking flowing water. This element draws inspiration from the historical arms of the former County of Maramureș, as well as from the name Slatina, associated with salt water and mineral springs. The two remaining fields bear golden lions holding steel-bladed swords, preserving the principal heraldic motif of the Mariș arms. The same lion appears in the crest.

The achievement is surrounded by a richly painted floral border, incorporating flowers associated with the client's family origins in Maramureș and Banat. The lilac (Syringa vulgaris) evokes Banat, while the dog rose (Rosa canina) recalls the hills and natural landscape of Maramureș. The floral border brings these two geographical traditions together while providing a decorative frame for the heraldic composition.

The resulting coat of arms brings together ancestry, geography and personal identity in a new heraldic language. Rather than reproducing the historical Mariș arms, it preserves their essential visual memory while introducing elements specific to the client's own origins and identity.

The coat of arms was developed first as a pencil drawing, subsequently traced by hand in black ink liner, and finally painted with gouache and acrylics. The finished work was executed entirely by hand, combining traditional heraldic painting with a richly detailed decorative treatment.
